The participation of engineer Francisco X. Valdés in the Puebla Morning Briefing, held in Mexico City on March 26, represented a valuable opportunity to present a clear vision for the state’s water future.
During this session, it was demonstrated how water infrastructure, irrigation technification, and regenerative irrigation can be consolidated as strategic pillars to guarantee access to water, strengthen agricultural productivity, and ensure long-term sustainability.
It was highlighted that Puebla is at a critical juncture, with the opportunity to make a structural leap by transitioning from traditional models to solutions that not only optimize water use, but also contribute to the regeneration of soils, aquifers, and ecosystems that have been degraded for decades.
The leadership of Governor Alejandro Armenta was also recognized, along with the commitment and coordination of Beatriz Torres, director of CONAGUA in Puebla; Rebeca Bañuelos Guadarrama, head of CEASPUE; and José Francisco Esquitín, Undersecretary of Production and Primary Productivity of the State of Puebla, who have been key in driving high-impact projects for the benefit of the population.
Engineer Francisco X. Valdés reiterated the importance of continuing to bring together knowledge, technology, and collaboration across sectors to consolidate an efficient, sustainable, and regenerative water management model in the state.
