Puebla Water Project Meeting

On March 20, a working meeting was held with the Governor of Puebla, Alejandro Armenta, with the aim of following up on strategic issues related to the future of water in the state, with the participation of engineer Francisco X. Valdés.

During the meeting, progress on the Puebla Water Plan was reviewed, as well as key projects such as the treatment plant in Tepeaca and Irrigation District 030, which are shaping up to be fundamental for strengthening water management in the region.

Participants included José Manuel Contreras, head of the Ministry of Infrastructure; Rebeca Bañuelos Guadarrama, Director General of CEAS PUE; as well as representatives from the Ministry of Environment, Sustainable Development and Territorial Planning and other relevant authorities, with whom coordinated work continues.

These efforts are part of a broader vision aimed at implementing more efficient solutions that are not only sustainable, but truly regenerative—capable of reversing the accumulated deterioration over decades in agricultural lands, soils, cities, industries, water bodies, and aquifers.
