Ahifores International Forum 2025

Eng. Francisco X. Valdés participated in the Ahifores International Forum 2025, joining the panel “Toward a New Water Governance: Vision and Implications of the General Water Law for Mexican Agriculture.” His participation provided a technical and strategic perspective on the challenges and opportunities that the new legislation represents for the country’s agri-food sector.

Valdés emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration among producers, institutions, specialists, and decision-makers to move toward fairer, more efficient, and resilience-oriented water management. He highlighted that sound water governance is essential to building a more sustainable and better-prepared agricultural sector in the face of climate and production challenges.

The engineer expressed his gratitude for the invitation and acknowledged the value of the forum as a space that promotes informed dialogue among the different stakeholders in the sector.
