On March 4th, the Academic Forum: Agricultural and Technological Development in Sinaloa: Current Situation and Challenges for 2030 was held at the Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Guasave (ITSG). The objective was to generate proposals to optimize the use of natural resources in the north-central region of Sinaloa. The event brought together government, business, academic, and social representatives, highlighting the importance of leveraging the region’s human and technological capital.
As part of the event, Engineer Francisco Xavier Valdes Simancas, a national inventor of irrigation systems, was invited to give the keynote address: Regenerative Irrigation, Catalyst for Holistic Sustainability.
The forum concluded with a commitment to inter-institutional cooperation and the generation of sustainable solutions to the challenges of Sinaloa’s agricultural sector toward 2030. Collaboration between different sectors was key to the event’s success and the drive for regional development.
